My Heart Don’t Mind At All

Well that man’s in my heart, my heart don’t mind at all
It’s roaring like a storm and banging like a fist on the door
Well that man said, ‘Ma’am, is that a cardiac arrest?’
My heart said, ‘No, that’s you drumming in my chest’
That man’s in my heart, my heart don’t mind at all

Well that man’s in my eyes, my eyes don’t mind at all
They’re spies on the prize, on the batter but not on the ball
Oh that man said, ‘Ma’am, is that a seizure you’re feeling?’
My eyes said, ‘No, we’re just rocking and reeling’
That man’s in my eyes, my eyes don’t mind at all

Well, my heart is not a sentient creature
This shaking and quaking’s its salient feature
I got nothing to say, I’m dumb as a tree
When my heart’s earthmover moves over me

Well that man’s in my head, my head can’t take it at all
Cos it’s rigged up with triggers and ripcords I just can’t ignore
Well that man said, ‘Ma’am, may I give you a ring?’
I started to twitch with the phone’s every ping
That man’s in my head and my head can’t take this anymore
That man’s in my heart and my heart don’t mind him at all
